Harrison Ford’s Recast Marvel Character: First Look

Harrison Fords Recast Marvel Character

From the Captain America: New World Order set, the first images of Harrison Ford as the recast General “Thunderbolt” Ross in the MCU have surfaced.

Since William Hurt, who played Ross in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, passed away in March of last year, Ford is slated to make his Marvel Studios debut, playing the enduring MCU character.

We were eager to join the superhero genre after “[seeing] all these amazing actors having a nice time [in Marvel movies],” as the Indiana Jones and Han Solo star recently confessed.

According to reports, Ford will make a “great” debut, partnering with Anthony Mackie’s Captain America in the next epic, and perhaps even Hulking out at some point.

With the passing of Thunderbolt Ross actor William Hurt, Ford will play General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the next sequel.

Ford is seen in the pictures, which were published by Just Jared, wearing a dress shirt and tie from the Atlanta, Georgia, New World Order set.

This occurs just after the project’s first round of filming, which began earlier this month.

The debut of Harrison Ford as Captain America
While it is sad to watch another actor assume a part that William Hurt’s fans had grown to know and love throughout his time in the MCU, it is nonetheless exciting that Harrison Ford, another renowned actor, will carry on Hurt’s legacy.

There have been various tidbits scattered throughout the creation and production of the Captain America sequel about General Ross’ role in the New World Order, albeit not much is known about it as of yet.

When Captain America 4 reaches theaters next year, Ford’s Marvel character will supposedly hold a new position after stepping down from his position as the United States Secretary of Defense to become the President of the United States.

Also, given that the movie has been dubbed a “paranoid [political] thriller,” it seems likely that the President will play a significant part in the events depicted.

Considering that there is so much Hulk legend associated with the MCU epic, the question is, will Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross eventually adopt his comic persona as the evil Red Hulk?

On May 3, 2024, Captain America: New World Order will be released in theaters.
